Year 7 Curriculum Booklet

Nearly there with the new KS3 curriculum for September. Due to dwindling numbers at GCSE and a pretty poor perception of Geography from students at school, as a department we have decided to change the whole of KS3 from September! No mean feat! In my first 6th months at Maghull High it is pretty clear that students are being turned off by the Geography curriculum so we are hoping that the ‘new’ curriculum will inspire our students to study Geography.

The Year 7 Curriculum booklet is designed to plan out KS3 for both pupils and parents, along with a short explanation of the cross-curricular dimensions and PLTS.

Thanks for sharing John, and also for the tip-off to the FloodSim.
Coming over to Liverpool later in the month to see the Klimt at the Tate, and another look at Another Place…

  2. Thanks Alan.
Not had the chance to see Klimt yet, but will be doing so before the end of the summer. Another Place seems to have a never-ending appeal. I am hoping to complete some work based around Another Place with our art department next year. Another interesting piece of public art at the moment are the SuperLambBananas (See my Flickr photos) or try http://www.gosuperlambananas.co.uk/ There are 120 to see, but myself and my kids managed to see about 30 in the city centre and I think they are a great way of getting people engaged with the urban environment? Then again I’m a geographer…..
